I wanted to start a few threads that will touch on what we'll bring up in the next meeting, and this is one of them.
I know we dabbled in a newsletter-type thing for a while in the Status Reports, but it wasn't truly a real newsletter.
Anyone interested in a real newsletter? If so, what would we have in it? What would you want to read or contribute?
Pros: -Something other then the forum that our group can center around -Members can contribute to it -Add greatly to our sense of community
Cons: -Not very many active members right now -Takes alot of effort to produce, for perhaps a small audience

I think that a newsletter with just interesting stories, articles, poetry, artwork etc from the members as well as news on the group would be a good newsletter. Something that is engaging so that people will actually read it. I think that sending out a newsletter might remind some people that the group is still here and needing support from them. Just starting out small would probably be how it would need to go, and then when we have more people around and posting we could make it into a bigger deal.

Ok, so, as a tentative yes... what parts do we need? So far: stories, articles (needs specification.. articles about what?), poetry, artwork, and news.
How do we collect each of these...? We could maybe make a thread as a sign-up sheet, then just go around and individually ask people to contribute on IM
