Goals for Authoring Ideas
Current
Establish a young writer’s group on our current forum that has effective communication, a concentration on ideas, and a plan for expanding.
Step After
Create our own hosted site for our group, which will be expanded at this point to include more than just writers, but people who consider themselves artists and/or philosophers.
Underlying Utmost Goal
World prosperity and human fulfillment

The above is a short summary of the goals for our group, intended to be a reference point for where we are and where we're going in the large scheme of things. This may change over time, but for the most part will remain constant. Please leave your comments below.

What the hell is a "communicatiev observer?"
I think you mean two things
1) Philosopher
2) Artist
Am I right? It seems--DamaNegra mentioned this--that this board is getting pulled into two different directions: philosophy and art. And I think your goal is to integrate the two.

wtf? The two CAN exist without the other? *glares out from under rock where I've apparently been living all my life*

Well...yeah...I'd argue that to an extent, they are separate.
Philosophy being the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.
Art being the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
But you can blend the two and I guess that's what the classics have. They investigate and reveal the truth of humanity through beauty.

I'll change it to "artists and/or philosophers in general" if you think that's more appropriate

Ha maybe. But without "in general." I'm such a pain. I'm sorry, Oliver, I think you're the man.

Good day one and all. I have no idea whether you intended this particular discussion for people who are part of some "higher power" in this website... I've gotta be honest, I have no clue what's going on now... I mean that in many ways, but I do mean it more specifically too to this board... You are talking about such abstract things but the way you portray them is almost in a sort of, businesslike though... maybe sort of a little clique kind of feeling... I find this very disconcerting and I'm not sure if I completely understand my own feelings just yet... I've posted a few messages on this board, though I'm sure only a tiny fraction of what most have... But I think I notice a sort of disassociation of minds here, where people are bonding for a commonality but beyond that it might seem superficial... I am not trying to come out strong, since I'm right now openly admitting (as I have I think a few times in this very message) that I have no clue, truly, what I'm talking about... I am putting in this message in an important role of something not quite common I find with most people. I wouldn't say quite a friend yet since I don't believe I've spoken with anyone here directly as of yet, and some I've exchanged no words at all... I suppose my motive in all of this is a closer examination of all that is human... taking a step back and examining myself, and yourself and ourselves and thinking about what we are actually doing right at this instant. The instant I speak of is times that are unimportant, but relating them back to a grander scheme of things... like- You create a topic on a forum, Our Goals, and you write in it for some abstract purpose. But if we then go a layer out from that you have both your personal life, and your personal mind state. And from your personal life (Which stems to this message board) It also de-stems to those around you, places you go and things you do. Influences you cast upon the world, here in this forum or outside on the street... I think it's something to be thought at... where I arrive back at my original point of:
Our Goals, As a forum (An online community which is to bring people together (hence caught influence that spreads -like a disease if you will-) From your life into the life of everyone else involved with the forum... So, to have a successful forum the main goal I would think would be, for everyone who is part of some abstract interaction, to work with that to the fullest so that you are using up positive energy while you spend time here. Putting yourself out to learn from others and only hoping they learn from you. To be an individual, while remaining aware of the collective.

Ah, well we're changing all these structural things up right now, if that's what you're talking about. There are a mighty lot of elipses...
Anyway any thoughts you have are, I should say, extremely valuable at this time. And I think you have excellent points. I, and others, are sharing the same anxiety about the direction of the forums, so right now, as you can see from the announcement I recently put up, we're doing something about it.
So where are you going with this idea of abstract vs. real purpose? I'd be interested to know. Really, go start a discussion about that concept of posting, either in the Ideas board, or the Observation, Questioning, and Debate board. The latter is about coming to a deeper understanding of our own posting, so it would work there.
However, back to the idea in your post - precisely what I'm trying to create is what you allude to - a group of friends... non-dissociated people putting themselves out there to learn from each other. Then with that power, that collaboration- we can do great things, in the world or in ourselves.
