Holy cow, this is the trippiest thing I've seen for a while: www.switched.com/2007/10/15/the-trippiest-optical-illusions-on-the-net/Read the article, too. The way you primarily see her spinning determines which side of the brain you primarily use. I mainly see her spinning mostly clockwise, which means I use more of the creative side; however, if I focus on it, I see her move clockwise, especially if I start doing math in my head. I could also cover my right eye and that helped. Really cool!

She takes a few turns clockwise then another few counterclockwise. So that must mean I use both sides of the brain equally. Yay me!

The first time I looked at it, it went counter-clockwise. Math side came up first. So I tried to imagine it the other way, staring at it... then boom it switched. And then I couldn't get it off that side for a while. But then I look away for a second, and it switches back. The conditions seem different, but this switch happens either way pretty equally. It seems if i concentrate immensely on it it switches. I can see in my peripheral it going clockwise. but even if I concentrate alot on the act of seeing it peripherally, it switches... odd. I can actually see it come to a stop and start going the other way, without actually looking at it

I use my right brain (clockwise) unless I start reading the stuff below, then she switches to counter-clockwise (left brain)

Her arms and legs keep switching. She holds up the right leg and arm, then switches to the left leg and arm. This may have something to do with it, though I do think the illusion itself works well, seeing as depending on what I thought of when I was looking at it changed the way it was spinning, and it changed as my thoughts changed, not according to a timer- or so it seemed, at least.

It's definitely in how you think about it. I was able to make her swivel in front of me if I thought hard enough and switched in my mind at the right times. It's very hard though, since the tendency of the mind is to make the figure continue in a full circle. If you look at individual parts of the figure, such as the feet, you can see that it's not really going either direction.

On your keyboard, you'll see a button labeled "Prt Scr" or something to that extent. With this button, you can copy your entire screen. Copy the girl spinning and go to Paint or somewhere where you can paste the image, and paste it. Do it a few times and you'll be able to start to see how the illusion is done. Very cool. It took me about 8 different copy and pastings to figure out what type of image and how they were using the image to make it seem as though she were spinning.

Ah dammit I can't see her spinning counterclockwise at all, only clockwise. Gonna print screen.
