Where's my homies at?
I'm Wiccan (eclectic, solitary for the most part, largely influenced by green magicks), I've been practicing for nearly a decade (in secret during the early years. My parents are uber Christians and I've had my hand smacked quite a bit), and I'd like to see if there are any other Pagans or witchy folk on the boards.
Tell a little bit about yourself.

does it count that I have my own religion? heh. probably not. According to most Christians, that would be Paganism. But then, they also think that Paganism is another word for evil and that gays are going to hell.

from my perspective, that's not true for "most" christians, although it is for an outspoken and over the top few. [/anti-generalizing] I get what you're saying, though ^_-
You'll have to tell me about this paganism of yours some time

Anyway, I'm a pagan too. Wiccan as well. Also eclectic. And Tsuki's the copycat, in case anyone was wondering ;D

I dabble in things from time to time. I can read tarot cards, for example, although I'm out of practice. The books I read never much appealed to me--seemed more like fantasy than anything else--but I'm open to other viewpoints and to be shown if and how I'm wrong.

You'll have to tell me about this paganism of yours some time Wicca is an earthy religion that celebrates nature and everything in it. There's MANY denominations of Wicca and witchcraft, so I'll just stick to what I know best: green magicks. Green magick is the practice of appreciating the magickal side of plants (herbs are most commonly used) and the earth. These witches are the ones you'll find hovering over their gardens, hugging trees, and feeling guilty over squashing flowers by accident. Those aside, green witches usually concentrate their magickal focus on all things naturally, and usually show their practices using plants and the like (a.k.a., their houses are usually bursting with dried herbs, flowers, indoor plants, etc). I doubt I stated that the best I could, but it's midnight and I'm tired, so I get an excuse. Btw, if anyone needs an herb, call me up. I probably have it. I have everything from asafoetida to wormwood.

I dabble in things from time to time. I can read tarot cards, for example, although I'm out of practice. The books I read never much appealed to me--seemed more like fantasy than anything else--but I'm open to other viewpoints and to be shown if and how I'm wrong. I've never been the best at Tarot. I can do it, and my readings always turn out well, but I nearly always have to consult the book, and a simple Celtic spread could take a half hour or so to do. Give me kudos for trying though. If you like Tarot, try herbal scrying (for future reference to everyone on the boards: yes, I will go on about herbs forever, and no one can stop me). Two popular methods: *-* Take a divining or clairvoyance herb (this could be a whole clove, a lump of frankincense, star anise, etc. Herbal correspondence charts are readily available in most grimoires and such), and tie it to a light yellow thread. Measure the thread to the length of your outstretch hand, from thumb to pinky. Measure it again at the widest part of your hand. This will be your length. Hold the pendulum in your hand (keep your hand steady, no cheating!) and ask a question. If the pendulum moves in a circular motion, the answer if favorable, or yes. If it moves back and forth, it it unfavorable, or no. *-* Light a few charcoal blocks and let them sit until they're nice and hot. Take a handful of poppy seeds and toss onto the coals. If the smokes rises lightly and disperses quickly, it's a good sign. If it hangs thick and low, slow to disperse, than it's a bad sign. This form of divination was often used to check up on relatives who were travelling or at war in the Old times.

Are we really the only Pagans on the boards?
How lonely. Let's start converting.

I'm a fledgling con artist, so I do cold readings. That kind of thing.
Kind of... similiar.
